Barre, Massachusetts - March 5, 2011 - Every year we attend the under tack show and sales at the Fasig Tipton Two Year Olds In Training Sale in Timonium, Md. In 2011, the under tack show will be held on May 18th and 19th, with the auction on May 23rd and 24th. Due to overwhelming demand from our partners, we will be purchasing a two year old in training from this auction. We encourage partners to attend the sale along with us. Your involvement and input is important to us.
There are a number of steps that we follow when purchasing a horse at auction, whether it be for our own syndicate or acting as agent for one of our clients. The first step shall commence once the sale catalogue becomes available, usually in late April. We will research the entire catalogue, concentrating on horses by stallions who have consistently outperformed the mares that they are bred to, whose percentage of stakes horses to runners ranks above average for the breed, and whose earnings per runner is greater than average. We will review the female family of the horses in the catalogue, Soundness of the stallion's and dam's progeny is also of great importance. We will create a "short list" of prospects from this research which will carry over to the under tack show.
While attending the under tack show, we may not only add prospects based on their performance, but remove some as well. We will walk the sales grounds, inspecting horses on our short list for conformational flaws and soundness issues. Our trainer will join us for these events, providing us with his/her opinion on the horses that we will be targetting.
On the day of the auction, we will make one last inspection of the horses on our short list. Our trainer will once again accompany us. Any vetting services or pre-sale examinations will take place at this time. Having the most up to date information is critical for our success. After the purchase has been made, we will have our new acquisition shipped directly to our selected trainer.
We will base this partnership on a $20,000 purchase price. This may vary slightly, either a bit below or above our initial target price. We will not mark up the final sale price nor will we charge a sale assistance or purchase fee. We project monthly cost to be $45 per 2% ownership share.
Prime Equine's unique "No Maintenance Fee Share" provides investors with the opportunity to buy into our TWO YEAR OLD SYNDICATE with the security and confidence that all maintenances fees will be covered for one full year from the date of execution of the partnership contract. Or, you may purchase traditional shares which require maintenance fee payments on a monthly basis. And, as always, we guarantee your investment.
